Jonah Perez

Jonah Perez has worked in the technology sector since 2004. In that time, they have held roles at Ecast Inc, Vesta Corporation, Con-way, Extensis, VendScreen, Nike, Zapproved, Cambia Health Solutions, Bright.md, and SafePorter. Jonah'smost recent role is Chief Information Security Officer at SafePorter, which they began in 2019. In 2018, they worked at Cambia Health Solutions as an InfoSec and Compliance Analyst, where they refined security control libraries, developed SOC2 control libraries, and migrated Trust Services Criteria from 2016 to 2017 standards. From 2015-2019, they worked at Zapproved as a Cloud Operations Manager, where they supported several teams in their use of AWS and implemented monthly AWS spend and budget review procedures. In 2014, they worked as a Sr. Software Engineer (contract) at Nike. From 2013-2015, they were a Sr. Software Engineer/DBA at VendScreen. At Extensis, they worked as a Sr. Software Developer/DBA from 2011-2013, where they brought an existing ATG based application under source control and continuous integration. From 2010-2011, they worked at Vesta Corporation as a Sr. Software Engineer. From 2008-2010, they worked at Con-way as a Systems Engineer/Analyst - Senior. Lastly, from 2004-2008, they worked at Ecast Inc as a DBA/Sr. Software Engineer, where they developed music management software, administered a 3-Nine HA SQL Server, and maintained and extended a C++/COM based embedded jukebox.

Jonah Perez attended Cabrillo College from 1991 to 1994, studying Computer Science. In November 2016, they obtained the AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate certification from Amazon Web Services.
