Rene Galicia

EVP, Customer Advocacy at Bright MLS

As Executive Vice President of Customer Advocacy for Bright MLS, Rene Galicia oversees the Customer Engagement Team including Customer Support, Customer Success Coaches, and MLS Policy.

Prior to joining Bright, Rene was Director of MLS Engagement at the National Association of REALTORS where he was responsible for managing relationships between NAR and the nearly 600 MLSs in the country. He was the Staff Executive for the MLS Executives Advisory Board and assisted with the MLS Tech & Emerging Issues Advisory Board, and the MLS Committee. Rene was also the liaison to the Real Estate Standards Organization and the Council of Multiple Listing Services.

Before joining NAR, Rene held various positions at California Regional MLS including overseeing the training department and later the compliance and data licensing teams.

In his free time, Rene is a volunteer (known as a Greyshirt) with Team Rubicon (teamrubiconusa.org), a veteran led, non-profit that utilizes the skills and experiences of military veterans, first responders, and civilians to rapidly deploy emergency response teams on disaster and humanitarian operations across the United States and Internationally. Rene was appointed in early 2021 as a Metro Administrator responsible for local Greyshirts, community engagement, and growth of the local team.

Rene earned his Juris Doctorate degree from Pacific Coast University, School of Law in Long Beach, CA.
