Petko Plachkov

Co-Founder at Bright Money

Petko Plachkov has over 12 years of experience in the financial services industry. Petko began their career in 2008 as a Business Analyst at McKinsey & Company. Two years later, they were promoted to Associate at the same company. In 2010, they moved to Resolution Capital as an Investment Director, where they were responsible for sourcing, funding and sponsoring investment opportunities. In 2014, they founded CommuterClub, an innovative startup that helps make commuting cheaper and easier. In 2019, they became Co-Founder of Bright Money.

Petko Plachkov received their International Baccalaureate from Waterford Kamhlaba in 2002-2004. Petko then went on to Princeton University, where they earned a BA in Woodrow Wilson School of International Relations from 2004-2008. Afterward, they began a Masters of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies at The Wharton School in 2013, but is currently on leave.
