Andrew Kern

Vice President, Commercial and Energy Markets at Bright Power

Andrew Kern has a diverse work experience spanning over three decades. Andrew began their career at Retail Apparel Service Corporation, where they served as a Store Manager and Assistant Merchandise Buyer. Andrew later joined The Home Depot, where they worked in Store Management for over a decade.

In 2006, Andrew transitioned to BH Homes, Inc. as a Business Manager, followed by a role as Director of Commercial Sales at RGS Energy from 2009 to 2012. Andrew then became a Regional Sales Director at Taylor Consulting and Contracting from 2012 to 2015.

Andrew joined Nextility in 2015 as a Senior Business Development Manager before moving on to their role as Councilman at Township Of Jackson in 2019. During their time as a Councilman, they held various leadership positions, including Council President and Council Vice President, and served on numerous boards and committees.

Additionally, Andrew has experience in the renewable energy sector, working as the Managing Principal at KVA Power Management from 2016 onwards. Andrew later joined Bright Power, Inc. in 2019 and has held several positions within the company, starting as an Energy Procurement Manager before advancing to Director of Energy Markets. Currently, they serve as the Vice President, Commercial and Energy Markets at Bright Power, Inc., where they are responsible for overseeing the Energy Procurement Division and driving growth in Renewable Energy, Carbon Offsets, Demand Response, and other new service offerings.

Andrew Kern attended Jackson Memorial High School from an unknown start year to 1986. After completing high school, they enrolled at Rider University in 1986, where they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration. Andrew successfully completed their undergraduate education at Rider University in 1990.
