Caitlin Rood has a diverse work experience background in the sustainability and environmental field. Caitlin is currently working as a Senior National Account Manager at Bright Power, Inc. since June 2021. Additionally, they hold the role of Chair at the Better Buildings Challenge Multifamily Sector Steering Committee, where they contribute to activities that cater to the needs of multifamily partners.

In their previous roles, Caitlin served as a Green Rental Home Energy Efficiency Network (GREEN) Advisory Board Member at the California Housing Partnership Corporation, guiding the organization's work to enhance energy efficiency in multifamily affordable rental properties in California. Prior to these roles, Caitlin worked at Mercy Housing, first as a Sustainability Manager from May 2013 to October 2015, and later as the National Environmental Sustainability Director from November 2015 to June 2021. In these positions, they focused on implementing sustainable practices within the organization.

Caitlin started their career as a Consultant at Recharge Colorado from May 2012 to February 2013. Caitlin gained experience as a Sustainability Engineer at Symbiotic Engineering from September 2010 to April 2012. Previously, Caitlin worked as an Environmental Engineer at Tetra Tech from May 1994 to September 2010.

Caitlin Rood received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Marquette University, studying from 1990 to 1995. Caitlin then pursued further education at the University of Wyoming, where they obtained their Master of Science (MS) degree in Environmental Engineering between 1995 and 1997.
