Angelina Calderón has a significant amount of experience in the education sector. Angelina began their career as a 1st Grade Bilingual Teacher at Houston ISD in 2010, where they worked until 2013. After that, they transitioned to KIPP LA Schools, where they served as a 2nd Grade Lead Teacher from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, Calderón joined Bright Star Schools as a Parent Liaison, and over time, they held various roles within the organization, including Director of Family and Community Engagement, Senior Director of Outreach and Engagement, and currently serving as the Vice President of Outreach & Engagement.

Angelina Calderón obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in American Studies from Yale University, where they attended from 2006 to 2010. From 2010 to 2012, they pursued a Master of Education (M.Ed.) degree in Teacher Leadership from the University of St. Thomas (TX). In December 2013, Angelina obtained a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
