Richie Myers

Richie Myers is an accomplished music educator with extensive experience in teaching and music program direction. Currently serving as the Director of the Music Program at Bright Star Schools since August 2017, Richie previously taught a variety of music courses, including instrumental instruction, History of Rock and Roll, and Music Appreciation at Westchester Secondary Charter School from January 2014 to June 2017. Additional experience includes roles as a substitute teacher in La Canada Unified School District and assistant brass and percussion instructor with Assistance League of Flintridge. Richie's early career included an internship at Warner Bros. Studios, where responsibilities involved aiding music executives and managing music archives. Richie holds a Master's degree in The Art of Teaching (MAT) with a focus on Music Pedagogy from the University of Southern California and a Bachelor's degree in Music from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
