Andrew McGarrity

Andrew McGarrity has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Andrew is currently the Co-Founder & CEO of Bright Trip Inc., a position they have held since May 2019. Prior to this, they worked at Ingram Content Group as the Director of Digital Solutions from May 2017 to October 2020.

Before joining Ingram Content Group, Andrew founded and served as the CEO of Thrivist from January 2014 to May 2017. Thrivist was subsequently acquired by Ingram Content Group.

Andrew'searlier work experience includes roles at the U.S. Department of State as a Protocol Visits Officer from January 2006 to January 2009, where they were responsible for planning and executing visits by high-ranking foreign chiefs of state and heads of government. Andrew also worked at The White House, first as a Site Lead from January 2006 to January 2009, and prior to that as an Intern from January 2002 to January 2003. As an intern, Andrew assisted the Associate White House Political Director in coordinating political activities in several Central States, working with various stakeholders to advance the political agenda of the President.

Andrew McGarrity obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from The University of Memphis, where they attended from 2000 to 2003. From 2009 to 2012, they pursued their Masters degree in International Relations at the University of Cape Town.
