Rebeca Hernandez Gonzalez, RDN, LD, has a diverse work experience in the field of nutrition and dietetics. Rebeca started their career at The University of Texas at Austin, where they worked as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the Department of Nutritional Sciences from September 2014 to December 2015. During the same period, they also served as a Nutrition Intern at the Fitness Institute of Texas.

In 2017, Rebeca worked as a Dietetic Intern at multiple organizations, including UT Division of Housing and Food Service - Nutrition Services, Seton Medical Center at Hays, and Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas. Rebeca gained valuable experience in various aspects of nutrition and dietetics during these internships.

Rebeca also worked as a Medical Staff member at Texas Lions Camp, Inc. in August 2017, providing specialized dietary support to the camp attendees.

From June 2017 to January 2018, Rebeca served as an RD Consultant/Bilingual Nutrition Educator at Brighter Bites, where they contributed their expertise in nutrition education and counseling.

In 2018, Rebeca joined St. David's HealthCare as a Clinical Dietitian for a period of eight months, where they worked closely with patients to develop personalized nutrition plans.

Currently, Rebeca is working at Brighter Bites as the Senior Program Manager, a role they began in January 2022. Rebeca is responsible for overseeing the program and ensuring its success in delivering nutrition education to community members.

Throughout their career, Rebeca has demonstrated a strong passion for nutrition and has acquired extensive experience in various roles within the field.

Rebeca Hernandez Gonzalez, RDN, LD's educational history includes earning a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Nutrition with a Coordinated Program in Dietetics from The University of Texas at Austin from 2012 to 2017. During the same period, they also completed the Business Foundations Certificate Program at the Texas McCombs School of Business.

Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including "Data Visualization: Storytelling," "How to Be a Good Mentee and Mentor," and "Learning Data Science: Tell Stories With Data" from LinkedIn in November 2021. In August 2016, they achieved the "Business Foundations Program, with Highest Distinction" certification from The University of Texas at Austin - Red McCombs School of Business. Rebeca also holds a "ServSafe Food Protection Manager" certification from ServSafe Certified, obtained in September 2015, and a "ServSafe Allergens Training & Assessment" certification from the National Restaurant Association, obtained in March 2017.
