Ravi Ramsaran

Ravi Ramsaran is the current VP & CTO at BrightFish Learning. Ravi has also held the position of Product Leader, SaaS and AI/ML at Assent Compliance Inc from February 2020 to February 2021. Prior to that, they were the Chief Product Officer at BrightFish Learning from August 2014 to February 2020.

Ramsaran is responsible for the core platform of Assent's first self-serve web native SaaS portal. Ravi is also responsible for three core areas: AI/ML, Security, and Supplier Experience. Ravi developed and maintained Assent's machine learning strategy and business by developing business models and defining product objectives.

At BrightFish Learning, Ramsaran delivered, from concept to successful launch, within 1 year, an innovative web-based educational platform targeted to helping students in grades 1 to 12 read at their grade level. Ravi also managed weekly sprints as Product Owner in an agile environment and launched training and support programs to help generate additional revenue to increase customer retention and use of the program.

Ravi Ramsaran has a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Ottawa in Business Administration and Management, General. Ravi also has a Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS, Hons) from Carleton University in Artificial Intelligence. In addition, they have an MIT Big Data and Social Analytics Certificate from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, an Artifical Intelligence from A-Z: Building an AI Certificate from Udemy Academy, and a Getting Started with AWS Machine Learning Certificate from Coursera by Amazon Web Services. Ravi also has a Compliance Risk Management Certificate from Udemy Academy and a Fundamentals of TinyML Certificate from HarvardX. Finally, they have certifications from AI Company in Open Practice Machine Learning Essentials, PMI in Project Management Professional (PMP), Scrum Alliance in ScrumMaster, and Pragmatic Marketing in Pragmatic Marketing Certified.
