Allie Lin

Allie Lin is the executive vice president and general counsel at Brighthouse Financial. In this role, she is responsible for legal, compliance, and corporate governance. Prior to her current role, she served as the company’s head of litigation and employment law, responsible for litigation, employment law, legal operations, and customer relations.

Lin has more than 20 years of broad legal experience at law firms as well as private and public companies. Prior to joining Brighthouse Financial in 2018, she served as a senior director and counsel at AXA Equitable Life Insurance Company, supporting litigation and corporate law groups. She is a member of the board of directors for Charlotte Center for Legal Advocacy and the chair of its Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee. She also serves as a volunteer tutor in Charlotte-area public elementary schools and has previously served as a Charlotte Triage Pro Bono Partnership Champion for the income security practice area. Lin holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and a juris doctor from New York University School of Law.
