Shelly Hemler

Shelly Hemler has a diverse work experience in the financial and audit industry. Shelly started their career at Ernst & Young in 1997 as a Senior Manager, where they worked until 2007. After that, they joined MetLife where they held various roles, including VP of Internal Audit for Finance, Investments, Actuarial, and Risk Management from 2014 to 2016, and VP of Internal Audit for Technology, Operations, and Corporate Services from 2007 to 2014. Currently, they are serving as the Executive Vice President & Chief Auditor at Brighthouse Financial since 2016.

Shelly Hemler has a strong educational background. In 1981-1987, they attended White Rock Montessori where they pursued Montessori Elementary Education. Shelly continued their studies at the University of North Texas from 1993 to 1998, obtaining a BS/MS in Accounting and Information Systems. Shelly furthered their education at Harvard Business School in 2008-2009, earning a degree in Business with a focus on PLD7.
