Tom Watterson

Tom Watterson currently serves as Chief Legal Officer at Brighthouse Investment Advisers, LLC and as Managing Corporate Counsel at Brighthouse Financial, roles commenced in November 2023 and May 2023, respectively. Prior to these positions, Tom held the title of Managing Counsel and Director at BNY Mellon from July 2016 to May 2023, focusing on investment management. Previous experience includes positions as Counsel and Vice President in Asset Management at K&L Gates, and as an Associate at Reed Smith LLP. Tom's legal career began with a JD from Duke University School of Law, where involvement included roles as a Research Assistant and Summer Associate. Tom also holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and Economics from the University of Delaware.
