Melissa McMurtrie

Melissa McMurtrie has a diverse work experience in web development and design. Melissa'smost recent role was as a Developer at Brightidea, starting in December 2019. Before that, they worked as a Developer at CI&T from January 2019 to November 2019. Prior to these roles, Melissa was a Developer at Comrade from February 2013 to December 2018, where they prepared technical deliverables, managed the company's website, and assisted with the project team and client experience. Melissa also has experience as a Front-End Developer at White Whale Web Services from April 2012 to February 2013, where they created custom templates and widgets for the live whale CMS, as well as developed the mobile site. Melissa worked as a Lead Front-End Web Developer at ARS Interactive from July 2010 to April 2012, where they successfully launched complex eCommerce websites and developed interactive features using backbone, JavaScript, and XML. Prior to that, they freelanced as a Web Developer, creating a sophisticated eCommerce site and a custom plugin on WordPress from February 2009 to July 2010. Melissa began their career as an In House Designer and Web Developer at Joon New York from January 2004 to February 2009, where they worked on front-end development and design for various websites.

Melissa McMurtrie pursued their Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Painting from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga from 1998 to 2002. In 2008, they attended NYU SPCS to enhance their skills in Illustrator and InDesign, focusing on the field of study related to these software programs.
