Ed Bartholomew

Ed Bartholomew has extensive work experience in the field of DevOps and engineering. Ed is currently serving as a Tech Lead, DevOps at BrightInsight since 2021. Prior to that, they worked at New Context from 2016 to 2021, where they held the position of Engineering Manager. Their responsibilities included expanding the Predix platform to multiple AWS regions, creating terraform development and testing standards, and designing terraform modules for provisioning base infrastructure. Ed also worked as a Technical Director at LTI (Logic Technology Inc.) from 2000 to 2016, where they served as a DevOps Team Lead and a Server Team Lead for GE Global Research. In these roles, they developed various Docker solutions, created CI/CD pipelines, deployed on-premise applications to AWS, and provided 24x7 support for critical global infrastructure. In addition, they have experience as an Application Developer at Michelin and as an Engineering and Scientific Consultant at LTI (Logic Technology Inc.).

Ed Bartholomew holds a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Computer Science from the University at Albany, SUNY. Ed has also obtained several certifications, including the AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Security - Specialty, and HashiCorp Certified: Vault Associate. Additionally, they hold the AWS Certified SysOps Administrator - Associate Level certification. Ed is also a certified HashiCorp Partner Consultant and has intermediate-level certifications in Consul and Terraform from the HashiCorp Partner Network.
