Katie Gaspar-Slayford is a UX Designer with a strong background in user experience and education. Currently at BrightLocal since July 2020, Katie previously worked with Gather, focusing on improving site usability for a zero-waste social enterprise. Katie's foundational training in User Experience Design comes from a full-time immersive program at General Assembly, which included over 400 hours of professional training. Prior teaching experience includes roles at Brighton & Hove City Council and the London Borough of Lambeth, where responsibilities involved the academic and pastoral development of primary school students. Educational qualifications include a BA (Hons) in International Development from the University of Sussex, a PGCE in Primary Education from London South Bank University, a Certificate in Counselling and Psychotherapy from CPTA, and a BTech in Art & Design from Kingston University.
