Laura Alexander Wittig is an experienced professional with a diverse background in product management, program management, digital storytelling, and content management. Laura began their career in 2010 as a Product Specialist at Apple and then went on to work as a Web & Social Media Specialist at The New York Racing Association in 2011. In 2010, they also began working as a Freelance Designer/Copywriter, providing UX design, front-end web development, and editorial strategy services.
In 2012, they joined Amazon as an Email Marketing & Product Manager in the Fashion department, where they were responsible for the strategy and execution of marketing channels and product direction for Amazon Fashion email program. From 2015 to 2017, they worked at Google as a Senior Strategist & Program Manager in the User Advocacy department, leading an initiative that was directly responsible for helping millions of Google users access crisis hotlines on Search in emergency situations.
In 2017, they joined Adobe as a Product Manager for Adobe Spark, where they reimagined digital storytelling and information sharing for entrepreneurs, knowledge workers, non-profits, educators, journalists, and more. In 2016, they worked at SEPHORA as a Product Manager for Community, leading the product direction for Sephora's Community group and launching a new social shopping initiative that resulted in over 800k signups in 2 months.
In 2020, Laura joined Female Founders Alliance as a part of Cohort 3 in the Ready Set Raise program and was also part of the Yellow Accelerator by Snap, Inc. that same year. Laura currently serves as the Founder & CEO of Brightly, a community-driven lifestyle brand empowering conscious consumers. In this role, they serve as the CEO and interim CTO, Developer, and manages a team of 10 across C-Suite, engineering, marketing, design, and content management.
Laura Alexander Wittig's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) in Multimedia Journalism and Government from the University of Texas, obtained between 2006 and 2009. In 2014, they completed a course in Multi-Device UX: Designing the Whole Experience at General Assembly, and a course in Axure for User Experience at School of Visual Concepts. Laura also completed an Advanced Web and Interaction Design program at UCLA Extension between 2014 and 2016. In 2018, they obtained a Certified Scrum Product Owner certification from the Scrum Alliance.
