Andy Dickason is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in both emergency services and creative fields. As a full-time firefighter for the Town of Brighton since January 1991, Andy has served in critical situations, demonstrating dedication to public safety. In addition to firefighting, Andy has worked as a freelance photographer and drone pilot for 180 Images since 1992, and has been actively involved with Team Rubicon as a content creator since December 2012, sharing stories of disaster response. Andy also serves as an instructor with EMS Tactical Group, providing training and support for medical operations globally, and holds credentials as a NRA Certified Firearms Instructor for pistol and home safety since February 2014. Andy co-hosted the Internet TV show "Crash N' Burn" from June 2015 to June 2016, discussing a variety of topics including firearms and technology. Prior military experience includes service in the US Army as artillery personnel from 1987 to 1990. Andy has educational qualifications from Kansas State University and Brighton High School.

The Brighton Fire Department and Brighton Fire District serve portions of the Towns of Brighton and Pittsford in Monroe County, New York. Our district borders the City of Rochester to the northwest, Penfield to the northeast, East Rochester to the east, Pittsford to the southeast, and West Brighton to the southwest. Since 1925, BFD has had a "combination" staffing model where the benefits of a full-time staff of paid firefighters is "combined" with the benefits of a roster of 80+ volunteer firefighters. We are a role model organization for other fire departments seeking to deliver efficient, cost-effective fire rescue services in an urban/suburban setting with paid and volunteer first responders.
