Jacob Taylor currently serves as the Deputy Leader and Finance Lead for Brighton & Hove City Council and holds various roles in the council, including Co-Chair of the Children, Families and Schools Committee and Deputy Chair of the Strategy, Finance and City Regeneration Committee. As a Labour Party Councillor for the Moulsecoomb & Bevendean ward, Jacob engages actively in local governance. Additionally, Jacob has extensive experience at Bank of America since September 2011, where roles have included Director for Global Markets COO and Director for EMEA Equities Distribution, along with significant involvement in regulatory initiatives. Early professional experience includes an internship at Mazars in the Audit department. Academic qualifications include a BA (Hons) in Economic History and Economics from The University of Manchester and A-Levels in Economics, History, and English Literature from Varndean College.
