Arturo Carrillo is currently the Deputy Director of Health and Violence Prevention at Brighton Park Neighborhood Council. Prior to this, Arturo held the position of Mental Health, Family Support, & Victims of Crime Act Program Manager at Saint Anthony Hospital. Arturo holds a BA in Psychology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, an MSW in Clinical Social Work from the University of Illinois Chicago, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Social Work at the same institution.

Brighton Park Neighborhood Council is an intergenerational community-based organization dedicated to equity and racial justice. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the working-class and immigrant populations of Chicago’s southwest side through grassroots organizing and providing free and accessible social services and quality programming for youth and adults. BPNC's mission is to create a safer community, improve the learning environment at public schools, preserve affordable housing, provide a voice for youth, protect immigrant rights, promote gender equality, and end all forms of violence.
