Sofia Elizondo is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in strategy, business development, and innovation within the food and health sectors. As Co-founder and COO of Brightseed since August 2017, Sofia focuses on utilizing nature to enhance human health. Previously, Sofia served as an advisor at Exo Protein, a company recognized for pioneering insect-based protein sources, and as VP of Corporate Strategy and Business Development at Hampton Creek, a leader in plant-based products. Sofia's early career included consultancy at The Boston Consulting Group and a special advisory role with the United Nations, promoting engagement with the private sector on Sustainable Development Goals. Educational qualifications include an MBA from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a BA in Philosophy, Politics, and Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
