Alyssa White has a diverse work experience in the mental health field. Alyssa began as an intern at Vida Counseling in 2017 before becoming a Counselor in Training at Nicholas A. Vacc Counseling and Consulting Clinic in 2020. In 2020, they also served as an Elementary School Counselor Intern at Central Elementary School. Alyssa then worked as a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor at Child & Family Development from 2021 to 2022, providing mental health services to families and collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team. In 2022, they transitioned to a role as a Mindset & Performance Coach at HoneyBee Coaching, where they provided coaching services to young musical theatre performers. Alongside this role, they worked as an Executive Assistant at Niki's Int'l Ltd., managing schedules and assisting in event planning. Currently, Alyssa is working as a Clinical Talent Recruiter at Brightside Health, focusing on recruiting clinical talent and promoting evidence-based care.
Alyssa White, MS, NCC, LCMHCA completed their high school education at Wakefield High School from 2011 to 2015, receiving a High School Diploma. Alyssa then attended Elon University from 2015 to 2018, obtaining a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Psychology & Early Childhood Education. Following this, they pursued their Master of Science (MS) degree in Counseling at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro from 2019 to 2021.
In addition to their educational achievements, Alyssa White has obtained several certifications. Alyssa is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Associate, certified by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors, which they obtained in June 2021. Alyssa is also a Nationally Certified Counselor, accredited by The National Board for Certified Counselors, and obtained this certification in June 2021. Alyssa holds a North Carolina Professional School Counselor certification, received from the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction in May 2021.
Furthermore, Alyssa White has obtained various additional certifications throughout their education and career. Alyssa completed the Recovery Zone certification at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in February 2021. In August 2020, they obtained certification in Telehealth Mental Health from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro & Rockingham County Schools. Alyssa also holds a Psychological First Aid certification from The National Child Traumatic Stress Network, which they obtained in August 2020. Additionally, they have completed the Koru Mindfulness certification offered by The Center for Koru Mindfulness in October 2019.
