Asaf Helfer has a strong background in software development and management. Asaf started their career in 2000 as a Programmer and Mathematical researcher at IDF, where they implemented algorithms in C++ and performed statistical tests on data. Asaf then became a Professional instructor for computer programming at IDF before transitioning to the role of Software Developer at Safe-Mail Ltd., where they developed server-side programs in C and client-side programs in C#.
In 2006, Asaf joined Double Fusion as a Software Developer and later became a Client Team Leader. At Double Fusion, they were responsible for leading client teams and developing software.
Since 2012, Asaf has been working at BrightSource Energy, where they have held various roles. Asaf began as a Senior Software Engineer before being promoted to Director, Solar Field Network. In this role, they managed the solar field network and held responsibility for its operations. Currently, Asaf serves as the Software Department Manager, overseeing the software department's activities at BrightSource Energy.
Asaf Helfer attended The Hebrew University of Jerusalem from 2003 to 2006, where they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) degree in Computer Sciences. Asaf then pursued further education at the same university from 2006 to 2007, completing a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration.
