Cara Macon has a diverse work experience spanning several roles and industries. Cara began their career as an Employer Relations Assistant at Auburn University Career Center in 2013, where they assisted in developing employer relations strategies and organizing career fairs. In 2014, they interned at Therapeutic Foster Care at Lee County Youth Development Center before joining McKesson Patient Care Solutions as a Product Specialist, providing product training and support to customers. Cara also worked at Mobile Infirmary Medical Center as a Case Management-Licensed Master Social Worker, where they developed relationships with patients and facilitated their safe transition of care. Cara joined BrightStar Care in 2018, first as the Director of Human Resources and later as the Branch Manager. Currently, they serve as the Director of Operations, overseeing all aspects of home health operations and implementing strategic plans for patient care delivery and organizational growth.
Cara Macon has a solid education history. Cara started their academic journey by attending UMS-Wright Preparatory High School from 2006 to 2010. After high school, they pursued higher education at Auburn University, where they earned their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social Work from 2010 to 2014.
To further enhance their skills and knowledge, Cara enrolled at the University of Alabama from 2014 to 2015 to pursue a Master of Social Work (MSW) degree. Cara then proceeded to the University of South Alabama Mitchell College of Business, where they obtained a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree in Business Administration and Management, General from 2016 to 2018.
In addition to their degrees, Cara Macon has also obtained a certification as a Licensed Graduate Social Worker from the Alabama State Board of Social Work in November 2015.
