Dennis Schut has a range of work experiences in various industries. Dennis began working as a Public Areas Attendant at Residence Inn by Marriott in 2013, where they maintained cleanliness in the hotel and provided customer service over the phone. In 2014, they became a Camp Counselor at Keewaydin Foundation and held the position until 2017. During this time, they gained experience in counseling and mentoring. In 2015, Dennis worked as a Student Admissions Representative at the University of Vermont, where they conducted campus tours and managed informational panels. In 2016, they held multiple roles, including being a Certified Nursing Assistant at The University of Vermont Medical Center and a Teaching Assistant at The Robert Larner, M.D. College of Medicine at The University of Vermont. At the medical center, they assisted with patient care, while at the college of medicine, they supported high school students interested in medicine through teaching and grading assignments. Lastly, since 2017, they have been working as a Client Care Specialist at BrightStar Care, where they provide patient care, offers help desk support, and trains new staff members. Additionally, they have led an initiative to educate care providers on infection prevention and hand hygiene.
Dennis Schut obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biochemistry from the University of Vermont, completing their education from 2012 to 2016. In addition to their degree, they also obtained certifications as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) from the California EMT Central Registry in October 2019, and as a Certified Nursing Assistant from the California Department of Public Health in February 2018.
