Olumuyiwa Lawal has a diverse work experience spanning several industries and roles. Olumuyiwa started their career as a Financial Services Associate at GE Capital in 2007, where they analyzed upstream portfolios and made recommendations on commodity price exposure hedges. From 2008 to 2010, they worked as an Executive Associate at M&T Bank, overseeing performance monitoring and leading strategic initiatives for the Asset & Investment Management division. Olumuyiwa then moved on to Diamond Bank Plc in 2012, serving as a Manager in Corporate Banking and handling origination and relationship management for a significant portfolio. In 2014, Lawal joined Stanbic IBTC as a Senior Manager in Corporate & Investment Banking, specializing in the energy sector and delivering credit solutions. From 2016 to 2019, they worked at FBNQuest as the Deputy Head of Corporate Banking, responsible for debt finance deal execution and credit underwriting evaluation. Currently, Lawal is the Director of Operations at BrightStar Care, where they oversee personal care, skilled nursing, and medical staffing services.
Olumuyiwa Lawal attended Atlantic Hall School for their GSCE/WASSEC degree. Olumuyiwa then pursued a Bachelor's degree in Government & Economics at the University of Maryland, which they completed in 2001. Following that, they went on to earn an MBA in General Management and Finance from the University of Virginia Darden School of Business, completing their studies in 2008.
