Autism Coordinator-behavior And Education at BrightStar Care

Troy Swenson has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Troy started their career as a Vicar at Christ in 2001 and completed their role in 2002. From 2003 to 2008, Troy served as a Pastor at Shepherd of the Plains, where they were responsible for preaching, teaching, and organizing activities such as soccer camp. During this time, they successfully facilitated the merger of two congregations into one. In 2008, Troy became an Associate Pastor at Saint Lucas and continued in this role until 2016. Troy then joined Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School as a volunteer and Chairman of the Finance Committee on the Board of Directors, a position they held until 2016. From 2015 to 2016, Troy also worked as an Adjunct Professor at Wisconsin Lutheran College. In 2016, they transitioned to the role of Superintendent at Illinois Lutheran Schools, where they served until 2018. Lastly, in 2019, Troy held the position of a Customer Service Specialist at ACE Hardware before joining BrightStar Care as the Autism Coordinator-Behavior and Education, a role they currently hold.

Troy Swenson completed their education with a Master of Arts in Education (MA) with a focus on Innovation and Leadership from Wisconsin Lutheran College from 2013 to 2017. Prior to that, they pursued a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) degree from Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary between 1999 and 2003. Troy obtained their Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in History from Martin Luther College from 1993 to 1999. Before attending college, Troy attended Fox Valley Lutheran High School from 1989 to 1993. Lastly, they completed their primary education at Martin Luther Grade School from 1981 to 1989 where they acquired a Liberal Arts background.
