Marilynn Duker

Marilynn, Chief Executive Officer. As CEO, Marilynn has overall responsibility for directing both strategy, operations and long-term growth of the business. Marilynn joined the company, then known as The Shelter Group, in 1982. She began her career as a developer and has since been involved in every phase of the company’s operations and growth. Marilynn serves on the National Investment Center for Seniors Housing (NIC) Operator Advisory Board, the Mercy Health Systems Board of Trustees, the University of Maryland at Baltimore BioPark Corporation Board of Directors, and The College of Wooster Board of Trustees. She is a member of the Committee of 200. She is also a graduate of the Greater Baltimore Committee LEADERship Program. Marilynn was recognized as the Loyola University of Maryland Sellinger School Business Leader of the Year in 2019. In 2020, The Daily Record named her one of five Influential Marylanders in Business. Prior to joining the company, Marilynn served as a Presidential Intern at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD). She is a graduate of The College of Wooster and holds a Master's Degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
