Maureen Cummings

Maureen Cummings has worked in a variety of roles since 2017. Maureen began their career as a Reading and Language Arts Teacher at United Community Center, where they developed course materials and assessments based on student data to close gaps in curriculum. Maureen also co-founded a community service group for 6th-8th graders. In 2017, they took on a role as a Summer School Teacher at Messmer Catholic Schools, tracking student data and creating differentiated and engaging lessons for 9th grade students. In 2019, they became a Yoga Instructor at Get Hot Yoga, regularly teaching indoor heated vinyasa yoga classes as well as outdoor and virtual classes. In 2021, they began working as a Customer Onboarding Specialist II and Customer Onboarding Specialist at brightwheel, and also began teaching Yoga at Black Swan Yoga.

Maureen Cummings attended Marquette University from 2014 to 2017, where they received their Bachelor of Education - BEd in English/Language Arts Teacher Education. In 2015, they also studied abroad in Rome, Italy at Loyola University Chicago.
