Julie Burnside began their work experience as a Senior Consultant at Hudson Global Resources in 2004. Julie then joined Brightwork Specialist Recruitment (BWSR) in 2008 as a Director, where they provided innovative recruitment solutions across various industries. In 2016, they became the Director of Brightwork Recruitment Limited, the largest recruitment agency in Scotland, and later took on the role of Managing Director - Scotland. Julie has demonstrated expertise in the drinks sector, supporting major drinks companies as well as smaller distillers, food manufacturing, and hospitality providers. Julie has also been involved in initiatives to raise awareness of human trafficking and modern slavery in Scotland.

Julie Burnside earned a BA (Hons) degree in Social Sciences from Glasgow Caledonian University, where they attended from 1999 to 2003.
