Yao Zhang, MD, MPH has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Yao is currently serving as the Executive Director of Clinical Research at Brii Biosciences since June 2018. Prior to this, they worked at FHI 360 as the Associate Research Director for Global Research Services from July 2013 to May 2018.
Before moving to FHI 360, Dr. Zhang held positions at the Chinese Center for Disease Control and Prevention. Yao served as the Associate Chief Physician of Preventive Medicine from June 2011 to July 2013 and also worked as a Medical Officer from June 2009 to July 2013.
Dr. Zhang began their career at Peking Union College Hospital as an Attending in the Division of Infectious Diseases from 2008 to 2009. Prior to that, they were a Chief Resident in the Department of Medicine at Peking Union Medical College Hospital from 2007 to 2008.
Yao completed their residency in Internal Medicine at Peking Union Medical College Hospital from 2003 to 2007, during which they also served as a Resident. Dr. Zhang holds an MD and MPH degree.
Yao Zhang, MD, MPH completed their Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree in Medicine at Peking Union Medical College from 1995 to 2003. Later, they pursued a Master of Public Health (M.P.H) degree with a focus on Epidemiology and Quantitative Methods at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health from 2012 to 2013.
