Phil Schorr is a seasoned expert in medical device development with extensive experience in research and development. Currently serving as VP of R&D at BRIJ Medical Inc., Phil Schorr focuses on innovative post-surgical and trauma incision care technologies, specifically overseeing the development of the BRIJJIT, a force-modulating tissue bridge. Previously, Phil Schorr held key positions at Avanos Medical as Senior R&D Manager and at Halyard Health as Project Manager, leading teams in the creation of neuromodulation products and evaluating new technology partnerships, respectively. Phil Schorr's career also includes significant contributions at Kimberly-Clark, where leadership in technical strategy and product development was critical, along with foundational experiences as a Research Scientist and Assistant at various institutions. Phil Schorr holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota, complemented by research experience at UC Santa Barbara and an honors degree from Purdue University.
