Bilal Qureshi

Bilal Qureshi has an extensive work experience that spans various roles and industries. Bilal is currently serving as the Chief Executive Officer at Brillanz Group (formerly known as SCT Group) since January 2022. In this role, they are responsible for building and growing the company, promoting collaboration and teamwork, and overseeing projects in the telecom, AI, IoT, renewables, and state-of-the-art products divisions.

In 2020, Bilal co-founded SolarAi, a clean-tech startup that utilizes AI and analytics to accelerate solar adoption. As the Co-Founder and CEO of SolarAi, they aim to decarbonize power streams and facilitate the transition to a cleaner and cheaper grid.

Prior to this, Bilal founded PTEN (Pakistan Tech Export Network) in 2019, a tech advocacy forum aimed at bridging the Pakistani IT sector with the global ICT nerve system. The forum's objective is to empower women and alleviate poverty through technology.

In 2017, Bilal co-founded SOFTOO, and in 2021, they co-founded Infralectric. SOFTOO focuses on providing software solutions, while Infralectric is dedicated to digitally transforming the energy sector through low-carbon technologies and AI-led energy analytics.

Before venturing into entrepreneurship, Bilal worked as a Lecturer at the National Defence University from 2012 to 2017. Bilal taught strategic courses to MSc students, covering topics such as modern strategy, international political economy, critical security studies, non-traditional security threats, and international organizations.

Bilal Qureshi has an extensive education history, beginning with their studies at Kaplan Financial, where they obtained a degree in ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) from 2005 to 2009. Following this, they attended Oxford Brookes University from 2007 to 2010, where they pursued a Bachelor of Applied Accountancy, focusing on Accounting and Finance.

In 2010, Bilal enrolled at The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), where they obtained a PGD (Postgraduate Diploma) in International Relations and National Security Studies from 2010 to 2012. Bilal furthered their education in this field at National Defence University from 2012 to 2013, earning a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) degree.

Continuing their academic journey, Bilal pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in International Relations and National Security Studies at National Defence University from 2015 to 2020. Additionally, during their time at Harvard University in 2015, they completed an Executive Education program in ExecEd.

In terms of certifications, Bilal Qureshi acquired the National Security Workshop certification from National Defence University Islamabad in January 2013. Bilal also obtained the Emerging Leaders certification from Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education in June 2015.
