Sohaib Ashraf

Sohaib Ashraf has a strong background in finance and accounting. Sohaib began their career as a Tax Trainee at UHY Hassan Naeem and Co. Chartered Accountancy Firm in 2013. Sohaib then went on to work as a Trainee Accounts Officer at Telenor Group before joining KPMG Taseer Hadi & Co., Chartered Accountants as a Senior Audit Associate in 2014. At KPMG, they gained experience in applying International Financial Reporting Standards and International Accounting Standards, as well as preparing financial statements and condensed interim financial information.

In 2017, Sohaib joined Serene Air (Pvt.) Limited as a Senior Executive Finance, where they were responsible for all financial reporting of the airline, including monthly financial statements, management and statutory reporting, and IFRS compliance. Sohaib also coordinated and finalized yearly financial audits.

Most recently, Sohaib has been working at Brillanz Group, formerly known as SC Technologies Global Group, since November 2020. Sohaib started as a Finance Manager and then was promoted to Senior Finance Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Head of Finance, overseeing the statutory and management financial reporting for the entire Brillanz Group, which includes companies in various regions such as the United Kingdom, North America, Europe, Middle East, and South Asia. Their responsibilities also include treasury management, budgeting, planning, and forecasting of financial performance and cash flow.

Sohaib Ashraf's education history is as follows:

From 2011 to 2014, they attended Oxford Brookes University and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Accounting and Finance.

In 2011 to 2012, they also studied at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, where they received the degree of Associate Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA). During this time, they focused on subjects such as Financial Reporting, Taxation, Performance and Financial Management, Auditing, and Business Analysis.

Prior to that, from 2009 to 2010, they attended the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and achieved the designation of Certified Accountant Technician (CAT). Their studies at this institution covered Accounting, Finance, Costing, Financial Reporting, and Taxation.

Between 2007 and 2009, they studied at Punjab College, where they earned their HSSC (I.COM) degree. The subjects they focused on during this period were Accounting, Banking, Commerce, and Economics.

Earlier, from 2005 to 2007, they attended I.C.B and completed their SSC (Matric) degree, concentrating on subjects such as Physics, Chemistry, Maths, and Computer.

In addition to their educational qualifications, Sohaib Ashraf obtained a certification in Project Management (Yellow Belt) from Kinverg Management Consulting in December 2013.
