Kevin Smith

Kevin Smith is an accomplished technology leader with extensive experience in software engineering and product development. Currently serving as the Chief Technology Officer at Brilliant.org since October 2023, Kevin previously held the role of Principal Software Engineer at Tarides, where contributions were made to the OCaml community through the development of the Irmin storage library. As a co-founder and Chief Product Officer at Abstract, Kevin led the creation of an innovative design workflow platform, subsequently acquired by Tiny Capital. Kevin's background includes significant roles at Habitat, Tact, Inc., Hipstamatic, CoWork Greenville, and Gnoso Inc., showcasing expertise in UI design, product management, and software development. Kevin holds a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics and Computer Science from Furman University.
