Rasha Katabi

Rasha Katabi is Founder & CEO of Brim Financial.

With over 20 years of experience in structured finance and capital markets, Rasha began her career in 1995 at TD Bank with the CFO's office. She joined CIBC World Markets from 1999 - 2002 where she played a key role in the firm-wide global structuring effort combining structured finance, securitization, and credit derivatives across North America and Europe. In addition, she led the interface with the regulatory authorities on bank policy with reference to SPE utilization.

Rasha joined Merrill Lynch in 2002. She was Managing Director and Group Head of the Strategic Solutions Group, where she built the largest non-bank residential mortgage funding business, and established Merrill Lynch as the leading bank in asset securitization in Canada. She led the Debt and Equity Structured Solutions Platform focused on financial services, consumer and automotive finance, residential mortgages, and REITs. Rasha acted as senior advisor to Canadian pension funds, global sovereign wealth funds, and large institutional clients.
