Koen Bijvank

Koen Bijvank is a partner at Brinkhof N.V. since March 2017, with an extensive background in intellectual property law. Holding prominent positions such as chair of the Standing Committee on Patents for AIPPI and president of the Dutch group, Bijvank also serves as a member of the Disciplinary Board of Appeal at the European Patent Office and the EPO's Standing Advisory Committee. Additionally, Bijvank tutors candidates at the Center for International Intellectual Property Studies and has been an editor for BIE since 2009. Previous roles include president of the European Patent Litigators Association and partner at V.O. Patents & Trademarks, where the focus was on chemistry and life sciences. Academic qualifications include an LLM in Intellectual Property Litigation, a Bachelor of Laws in Dutch Law, and an MSc in Chemistry.
