Lexey Burns

Lexey Burns is an experienced tree planter at Brinkman & Associates Reforestation Ltd. since May 2021, achieving the remarkable feat of planting between 1,500 to 4,000 trees daily. Prior roles include an internship at Allen & Unwin from November 2023 to April 2024, Deputy News Editor and UTM Bureau Chief at The Varsity from April 2022 to May 2023 and August 2021 to July 2022, respectively, and Editor in Chief at Laurentian Lambda from September 2020 to September 2021. Additional experience includes a position as a Zehrs PC Express associate at Zehrs Markets from April 2020 to January 2021 and a breakfast waitress at Oakview Lodge and Marina from July 2014 to August 2019. Lexey is currently pursuing a Master's degree in Publishing at Simon Fraser University, following the completion of a Bachelor of Arts in English at the University of Toronto Mississauga and a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature at Laurentian University.
