Katie Ownby

Katie Ownby has extensive work experience in financial reporting, technical accounting, and auditing. Katie started their career at Flowserve Corporation in 2004, holding positions as an Internal Auditor and later as a Senior Internal Auditor. Katie then transitioned to the role of Senior Financial Analyst, specializing in accounting policy. In 2016, they were promoted to Manager of Accounting Policy at Flowserve Corporation, where they worked until 2020. In 2020, they joined Brinks Home as a Technical Accounting Manager, responsible for analyzing contracts and complex business transactions. Katie was then promoted to Manager of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting, where they prepared accounting memoranda and advised senior leadership on complex accounting issues. Currently, they hold the position of Director of Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting at Brinks Home.

Katie Ownby received a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree from The University of Texas at Austin in 2004. In the same year, they also attained a Master in Professional Accounting (MPA) degree from the same university. Katie Ownby has obtained additional certifications including Certified Public Accountant from the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy in 2022 and Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) from The Institute of Internal Auditors Inc. in 2011.
