Ratna Rao

Ratna Rao has an extensive work experience in various roles in the beauty and cosmetics industry. Recently, they served as the Director of Sales Planning at Briogeo Hair Care starting in April 2023. Prior to that, they held the position of Senior Director of Global Business Planning at Pat McGrath Cosmetics from May 2021 to March 2023. From June 2018 to May 2021, they worked as a Consultant in Operations and Planning for Clean Beauty Collective, Alpyn Beauty, and Vita Liberata. In 2016, they were a Business Operations and Sales/Marketing Consultant at Totohealth Tanzania. Ratna also held the role of Director of Sales Operations at International Cosmetics and Perfumes from August 2014 to August 2016. Ratna started their career with NARS Cosmetics as an Associate Manager, where they worked from March 2007 to December 2013.

Ratna Rao pursued their education with a strong focus on business and engineering. Ratna began their academic journey in 2000 when they enrolled at the University of Michigan. There, they successfully completed a dual Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and Industrial Design, graduating in 2004.

Inspired by their undergraduate studies, Ratna decided to further enhance their engineering knowledge and skills. In 2005, they enrolled in the University of Michigan once again, this time pursuing a Master of Engineering (MEng) degree in Industrial Engineering. After a year of intensive studies, they obtained their MEng degree in 2006.

Ratna's educational pursuits then took their to New York University - Leonard N. Stern School of Business in 2011. This prestigious institution provided their with the opportunity to delve into the world of business and gain expertise in global business, strategy, and marketing. With utmost dedication, they completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree at the Stern School of Business in 2014.

Throughout their educational journey, Ratna Rao developed a diverse skill set, combining their technical engineering knowledge with business acumen. Their educational background in mechanical engineering, industrial design, industrial engineering, and global business has equipped their with a unique set of skills and knowledge to excel in various professional domains.
