Sofia Walan

Sofia Walan has extensive experience in leadership and management within various organizations. Currently, Sofia serves as Chef Regionenheten at BRIS since October 2021. Prior to this role, Sofia was Regionchef at Studieförbundet Bilda from March 2016 to October 2021, overseeing operations in Öst with responsibility for 35 employees and 2500 volunteers. Sofia also held the position of General Secretary at Kristna Fredsrörelsen from June 2011 to March 2016, managing operations, budget, and personnel across five countries. Additional experience includes a role as Kommunikatör and Projektledare at Sveriges kristna råd from November 2002 to September 2011, and an administrative position at Rädda Barnen for a brief period in 2001. Educational qualifications include a Kandidatexamen in International Social Science from Linnaeus University, strategic leadership training in the non-profit sector, and a journalism foundation course from Poppius Journalistskola.
