Carla Powell

Carla Powell has a strong background in finance and administration. Carla served as the Finance Director at the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre from July 2015 to present. Prior to that, they worked as the Financial Controller at the same company from April 2014. Before joining the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, Carla worked at the Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre as the Financial Controller from February 2011. Carla also held positions as the Business Performance Manager from December 2008 to February 2011, Business Analyst from May 2002 to December 2008, and Credit Controller from June 1996 to April 2002. In addition, Carla briefly worked as the Finance and Administration Manager at the Sydney Entertainment Centre from February 2010 to February 2011.

Carla Powell has a diverse education history. Carla pursued a Graduate Diploma in Applied Science (Information) from UTS (Kuringai). Later, they completed their Bachelor of Economics with a focus on Economics from the University of New England (AU). Finally, Carla went on to earn a Masters of Professional Accounting with a specialization in Accounting from the University of Southern Queensland.
