Nick Brown is an experienced media professional with a diverse background in sports journalism and communications. Currently serving as the Media Manager for the Brisbane Lions since May 2022, Nick has also held positions such as Director at HIBORN MEDIA since February 2011, and Media and Communications Manager for Netball Queensland & the Queensland Firebirds from June 2021 to May 2022. Prior experience includes roles as a Sports Journalist at Fairfax Media, News Presenter and Sports Show Host at ACE Radio Broadcasters Pty Ltd, and Sports Editor at The Hamilton Spectator. Nick’s extensive involvement in sports media also encompasses editorial roles at the Western Border Football League and contributions as a freelance sports journalist for the Geelong Advertiser. Nick is a graduate of Monivae College, having completed studies from 2002 to 2006.

The Brisbane Lions are an Australian Rules Football Club which participates in the Australian Football League (AFL) and was formed from the merger of the Brisbane Bears and the Fitzroy Lions in 1996. The club appeared in four consecutive AFL Grand Finals between 2001 and 2004, winning three (2001, 2002 and 2003) to become one of the most successful teams of the modern era. They also boast one of the most successful AFLW teams since the competitions inception, playing in four grand finals, and winning one Premiership in 2021.
