Elizabeth Jackson

Elizabeth Jackson is an experienced museum professional currently serving as Vice President at the Briscoe Western Art Museum since February 2017, and as Museum Director and University Director of Development at Sul Ross State University - Museum of the Big Bend since September 2010. In these roles, Elizabeth manages day-to-day operations of a full-service cultural and historical museum while overseeing efforts to raise an annual operating budget of nearly $500,000. Prior experience includes serving as Assistant Director at the Museum of the Big Bend from May 2001 to August 2010 and as Marketing Manager at the Practice Management Institute from March 1999 to February 2000. Elizabeth holds a Master's degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Sul Ross State University and completed undergraduate studies at The University of Texas at Austin.
