Barry Norris

Barry Norris is an experienced communications professional with a strong background in external communications and marketing. Currently serving as the External Communications Manager at Bristol City Council since October 2019, Barry previously worked as the Marketing Manager at the Wildfowl & Wetlands Trust, where efforts focused on promoting the role of wetlands in combating climate change. Prior roles include Senior Policy & Communications Officer for the London HIV Prevention Campaign and Senior Communications Officer at the London Borough of Lambeth, where Barry led communications for significant community projects during an economic crisis. Barry began a career in publicity as a coordinator at the Learning and Work Institute, organizing key initiatives in adult education. Barry holds a Diploma in Digital Marketing from the Digital Marketing Institute, alongside Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Helsinki and the University of Leicester in English Language and Literature and English (European Union) respectively.
