Jonathan Darling

Jonathan Darling is an experienced communications professional, currently serving as the Public Information Officer for the City of New Bedford since October 2023, where responsibilities include media relations, social media, and communications for the city and Mayor Jon Mitchell. Prior to this role, Jonathan worked at the Bristol County Sheriff's Office from March 2016 to July 2023 as Public Information Officer, handling media relations and social media management for Sheriffs Thomas M. Hodgson and Paul Heroux. Earlier in Jonathan's career, a multimedia editor and staff writer for The Standard-Times from November 2003 to January 2016 provided extensive experience in communications, publishing, project management, and fundraising. Jonathan holds a B.A. in Mass Communications from Franklin Pierce University, earned between 1999 and 2003.
