Jackie Tonkel Lcsw

Jackie Tonkel, LCSW, is an experienced medical social worker currently employed at Bristol Hospice since May 2017. In addition to this role, Jackie serves as a symposium facilitator for The Pachamama Alliance, contributing to the Awakening the Dreamer, Changing the Dream Symposium, which focuses on empowering individuals to address global challenges with optimism. Previous positions include medical social worker roles at National Home Health Services and Grace Adult Day Health Care, as well as serving as a board member for the San Jose Peace and Justice Center, where community outreach and program development were key responsibilities. Additional volunteer and committee work includes roles with Legal Advocates for Children and Youth and the Resource Center for Non-Violence. Jackie holds a Master of Social Work from San Jose State University and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
