Salil Desai

Salil Desai currently serves as the Head of Biopharmaceutics at Bristol Myers Squibb's Biocon R&D Center, where responsibilities include directing all activities related to biopharmaceutics research and development in support of preclinical and early-phase formulation projects. Prior to this role, Salil Desai held the position of Associate Director at Novartis India, leading the CPP-India function at a global level to align strategies across multiple sites. Salil Desai's experience also includes significant roles at Syngene International Limited, focusing on biopharmaceutics in oncology and other therapeutic areas, and earlier positions at The University of Iowa, where contributions included developing training programs for the FDA and teaching pharmacy courses. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. in Pharmacy from the University of Iowa and a Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Sciences from the University of Mumbai.
