Bill Merkel

Bill Merkel is the current director at BRITE Energy Innovators. Bill has over 30 years of experience in the industry, with a focus on product management and marketing. Bill has a proven track record of successful product launches and market share growth.

Bill started their career at Keithley Instruments in 1990, where they eventually became business unit manager and director of product management. In this role, they were responsible for leading a capital equipment product line sold into 24x7 semiconductor process control applications. Bill also oversaw the development of the company's third-generation parametric tester, the S600.

In 2011, Bill joined Nidec Industrial Solutions as vice president of EV Charging America. In this role, they were responsible for building Nidec's DC Fast Charging business in North America. Bill successfully managed the launch of several products and grew the business significantly.

Most recently, Bill has been working as director at BRITE Energy Innovators. In this role, they are responsible for leading the company's energy storage initiatives. Bill is an expert in the field and is passionate about developing new technologies to improve the efficiency of the energy sector.

Bill Merkel began their educational career by obtaining a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical Engineering from Youngstown State University. Bill then continued their education by obtaining an Associate Electrical Engineering Technology degree from ATES Technical Institute in the same field. Finally, they obtained a certification in Practical Product Management from the Pragmatic Marketing/Institute.
