Jamie Steward

Jamie Steward has been in the technology industry since 2000. Jamie began their career as a Senior Programmer Analyst at Arbella Insurance Group, where they spent five years replacing legacy billing, policy and sales applications with the latest Java stack. Jamie then moved to TU Group, where they were a Technical Lead for three years, completing a major conversion of legacy Oracle Forms to the latest JBoss stack. Jamie also created an enterprise grade SOA platform, including Rating, Product, Policy, CRM & POS systems. In 2011, Jamie joined Duck Creek Technologies (formerly Agencyport Software) as a Solutions Architect, where they were the technical lead on the sales engineering team and provided input to the product roadmap based on customer feedback. In 2014, Jamie became the P&C XML Chair at ACORD, a global, nonprofit organization serving the insurance industry. Jamie lead diverse insurance technology experts from large incumbents to insurtech startups and innovated new standards like REST and HATEOAS leveraging the OpenAPI Specification. In 2017, Jamie became the Chief Technology Officer at Split Limit Studios, the largest provider of payroll data for pay-as-you-go workers compensation. Jamie was responsible for technical sales and marketing, creating materials, answering RFPs and live demos. Jamie was also a full-stack developer on Spring/Apache/Quartz back-end and jQuery/Bootstrap front-end. In 2018, Jamie took on the role of Director of Sales Engineering at BriteCore.

Jamie Steward completed a Bachelor of Science in Physics from the University of Birmingham between 1997 and 2000. Jamie then went on to receive a Bachelor of Science in Computer Technology through College Credit Equivalence between 2000 and 2001.
